SISTA nodigt jullie van harte uit voor het SISTA-US toernooi dat op 6 en 7
februari as. in Amsterdam wordt gehouden. Dit is het laatste toernooi dat op de traditionele locatie, het Universitair Centrum op de Boelenlaan, zal worden geschermd. Het USC gaat op de schop en wordt vervangen door een prachtige nieuwe locatie elders in Amsterdam. Voor een ieder die in het USCgoede herinneringen heeft, of slechte die dienen te worden 'overschreven', dus een MUST om aanwezig te zijn :-)

Er wordt op zaterdag geschermd in de categorieen:
- Jeugd floret
- Equipe floret en degen

Op zondag:
- Dames en heren degen
- Dames en heren floret

Stichting Internationaal Schermtoernooi Amsterdam (SISTA) organizes international fencing tournaments in Amsterdam. Through the years these tournaments have earned an excellent reputation for organisation, atmosphere and efficiency.
SISTA is a collaboration between members of different Amsterdam fencing clubs. At present Scherm Centrum Amsterdam , Contre Temps, S.V. Rana, Universitaire Sportvereniging Schermen (US) and Zaal Visser are members of SISTA.

The SISTA-Rana Tournament
Since 1991 fencers cross their weapons at the SISTA-Rana tournament, traditionally on sabre and foil. From the beginning, the tournament has the pleasure to welcome foreign fencers as well as many 'home' teams. Amsterdam Fencing Club Rana has organized the tournament at first, later in 1995, Rana joint hands with other Amsterdam Fencing clubs and SISTA was formed.

Since several years the sabre tournament is part of the Coupe du Nord, a circuit of Satellite World Cup tournaments that enable fencers to gain points for the world-ranking list. In 2003 the foil tournament joined the Coupe du Nord as well and is therefore part of the Satellite World Cup circuit!

The SISTA-US Tournament
Initiated in 1985, SISTA-US focused on foil fencers, since the beginning it attracts many foreign fencers. Since 2001 the tournament has been expanded as far as the categories are concerned, youth foil and seniors epee have been added. Traditionally the tournament is held in January. In 1995 when SISTA was initiated building on the legal infrastructure of this tournament, Fencing club US decided to join the collaboration.
